Pet Day Consultation

Kia ora all, 

With all the rain we have had recently, the backfield is absolutely sodden.  The forecast for the coming week is looking like there is more rain coming, so holding Pet Day at the end of next week is probably not a viable option.
 
We would like your feedback as to whether or not you would like Pet Day to go ahead for the end of the first week of Term 4.  We understand this is not ideal for those who are wanting to wean lambs.  If you could respond to the questionnaire below, this will help us decide whether we postpone or cancel Pet Day for this year.
 
 
 
 

Pet Day – Change of Date / Quad Sports

Kia ora e te Whānau,
 
With the announcement yesterday about the one off public holiday in honour of the queen, we have decided to move pet day from Monday 26th of September to Thursday the 29th of September. The postponement day, which was proposed as Friday 30 September, will still be our back up day – This is our last day of the term.
 
Unfortunately due to this change, we have decided to cancel the year 5&6 Quad Sports tournament on the Thursday (29 Sept). If the year 7&8’s are requiring to play on this day due to a cancellation from the Tuesday (26 Sept) they too will have their Quad Sports Tournament cancelled.

Tough Kids Update

Kia ora everyone,

Could parents who are taking students to tough kids please meet at school by 9am. We will be looking to leave at 9:15am at the latest. Students to come in mufti. Please make sure they have a spare change of clothes, plastic bag (or of the likes to put the clothes warn into), a towel, lunch + water bottle, cash if you were wanting them to get some food. 

If you could please let Matua TeeJay tcampbell@southmak.school.nz know if you are taking your child/ren to the event straight away that would be great as we need to put their information on their hand prior to start time.

Thanks again to those that are helping with transport. It is really helpful. If you are wanting to help with transport and didn’t put your name down that would be amazing, too. We need the spaces for tomorrow.
