Room 5 and 6 Camp to Green Pastures

Dear Parents and Whanau

Room Five and Six are going on camp to Kai-iwi on the 9th December and will be returning on Friday the 11th.

We will be staying at Green Pastures Camp in cabins and participating in a variety of activities over the time we are at camp. We will also be spending a day at Wai-inu beach, off the coast at Waitotara to investigate the rock pools.

If you are interested in coming along with your child/children please fill in the form below or click the link before the end of the term, as police vetting will need to be organised and this takes time.

Other details regarding camp such as gear lists and costs etc will come out early term 4.

Soccer at Clifton Tomorrow

Tomorrow we will have a year 5-8 soccer team going to play at Clifton School. We will leave school at 12.30 and be back by 2.30.

The team is: George A-D, Ollie, Jayden W, Ella, Amanda, Laelle, Lucas, Parker, Noah Z, Sophie, Ally, Timothy, Hugh and Andrei.

Hockey 11 and 12 September

Hockey Games

South Mak Hawks (yr 7&8): Game at 6.00 pm, please be there by 5.30 pm, on turf 2.

South Mak Falcons (yr 5&6): Game at 5.45 pm, please be there by 5.30 pm Friday.

South Mak Kea (yr3&4): Game at 9 am, please be there by 8.40 am Saturday, on turf 2.

As we are still at level 2 the following procedures will stay in place.

COVID Alert Level 2 personal hygiene reminders to all team members-:

– stay at home if you’re unwell;

– no sharing of gear (including drink bottles & PCD face masks);

– mouthguards stay in the mouth until you finish playing & don’t touch your face;

– wash or sanitize hands before and after playing;

– sticks not hands touch the ball;

– cough or sneeze into elbows;

– no bushman blowing of nose or spitting;

– no handshaking with the opposition (a quick 3 cheers)

Match Sheets recording the names of all team participants will be handed to the Match Administrator pre-entry to the turf.

Sorry, NO spectators will be allowed inside the FAHS turf gates or on the court area adjacent to the Rangitikei College turf.

If you’re going to stand around the outer fence to watch – strongly suggest you register your presence via the displayed NZ Govt. Tracer App QR codes and employ the recommended 2 metre physical distancing when interacting with people you don’t know. (Face masks are now recommended in public situations where physical distancing is not possible)

Fun Sticks Hockey

Please remind your Fun Sticks Players (Parents) that today is the final day for Fun Sticks and we are running a mini festival at the Marton School Turf – same time as usual 3.30-4.15pm.

All players need to remember to bring their mouthguards as we are playing games for the session & a named drink bottle.
